Former Candidates Council

Running for office changes you - regardless of if you win or lose. Harness your experience as a candidates by joining the Former Candidates council, a new initiative from Her Term meant to create a safe space for women who have run for office in Georgia. This is a place for former candidates to network, find community, and start your next leadership role.

Winding Down Your Campaign

Our first event is “Winding Down Your Campaign: A Round Table with Former Candidates” on November 13 at 1pm.

At the round table, you will hear from several former candidates about how they have used their campaign experience to continue fighting for their communities. This is part of a two-part series intended to guide former candidates through the logistical and emotional challenges of closing down a political campaign. The second part of this series will be held in January, and will have a more logistical focus. We will walk through how to properly close out accounts, how to comply with Georgia ethics filings, and how to archive data.

Register for the event here and invite your friends who have also run for office.

If you have questions that you would like to ask at the round table, include them in the registration form or email mara@herterm.org.
