FORMALLY INVITE YOU TO HER TERM’S 2026 ANNUAL FUNDRAISER

Rooted Here

Her Term is rooted in Georgia because we believe going deep matters more than going broad. We don't ask how to win a race. We ask what a woman actually needs to run one.

Roots are the part of the tree nobody sees. They are what holds when the weather turns and what everything visible grows from. Rooted Here is about what's underneath the wins: the women in State House races, the training, the bench. The system that makes those wins possible and makes them last.

Join us for evening of drinks, light bites, inspiring speakers, and community in support of Her Term’s unique approach:
being nimble, responsive, and grounded in the realities women candidates face.

Date: Tuesday, August 25th
Time: 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.
Location: a home in Virginia Highlands
Refreshments: Enjoy a glass of wine and hors d'oeuvres
Parking: There will be complimentary valet parking starting at 6:15 p.m.
Dress Code: Business casual
Speaking Program: 7:00 - 7:20 p.m.

We recruit women who don't fit the cookie-cutter mold of a politician, because the mold is part of the problem. We don't just train candidates and send them out the door. We meet them where they are, solve for what they are actually facing, and wrap it all in a sisterhood and safe space that candidates tell us, again and again, changed everything for them. The result is women who are more resilient, sharper, and stronger. Not just as candidates. As leaders.

On August 25, you will hear directly from them about what that looked like.

Be part of what's growing. Reserve your tickets below.

2026 Annual Fundraiser Speakers

These exemplary women are part of our Circles of Support, a program that helps build camaraderie with fellow candidates. Some started their journey with Her Term even before they decided to run for office.

TIMORIA MCQUEEN SABA

Timoria's journey to candidacy started in 2010 when she survived a near-fatal, postpartum hemorrhage, an experience that led her to run for this year's Georgia State Representative in Fulton County, with a focus on advocating for better maternal healthcare and support.

NIKKI PORCHER

Nikki understands what it means to work hard and still worry about making ends meet. She has persevered through hardships as a veteran, single mother, nonprofit leader, and entrepreneur. These life experiences that have inspired her to run for Georgia Labor Commissioner.

DARCY CASTRO

Darcy is an active community leader, an Elder at Kirkwood Presbyterian Church, and a former Mrs. Georgia America. After meeting Her Term at a Cobb County meet-and-greet, she felt determined to further serve her community by running for State Senate in Cobb County.
