Ratified film screening and discussion

Join Her Term on Sunday, January 11 from 3-5 p.m. for a screening and discussion of Ratified, a feature documentary about the 100-year struggle to embed gender equality into the U.S. Constitution through the ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment.

The Ratified production team was on the ground for three years in Virginia documenting the bi-partisan, multi-racial, multi-generational group of politicians and activists pushed Virginia to become the 38th and final state to ratify the ERA.

The film has an important message for those interested in being involved in the work of building a political infrastructure that centers women: this work unfolds over years and each small win builds momentum towards the long arc of justice.

Ratified premiered on October 20, 2025 on PBS’s Independent Lens. Many thanks to the producer of the film for donating the screening in support of Her Term.
