Equal Rights Day at the Georgia State Capitol
Tuesday, February 24 | 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Join us at the Georgia State Capitol for Equal Rights Day — a morning of civic action, leadership, and solidarity.
The Equal Rights Amendment reached full ratification in 2020. Yet it has still not been published as part of the U.S. Constitution, leaving women without explicit constitutional protections guaranteeing equal rights under the law. That reality matters — and it demands our presence.
We will gather at 9:00 AM on the South Steps (2nd floor) for a 9:30 AM press conference featuring State Representative Lisa Campbell, State Senator Sally Harrell, and leaders from the National Organization for Women Georgia, the League of Women Voters of Georgia, and Her Term.
Following the press conference, participants will receive formal recognition during Morning Orders in both the House and Senate chambers, with a reception and meet & greet to follow.
This is an opportunity to show up visibly and collectively for constitutional equality. Whether you can stay for the full program or just part of the morning, your presence matters.
We hope you’ll stand with us. 💜
