By nurturing the whole person, as well as the candidate, we're fostering a stronger, more resilient force for change. Our special feature on mental well-being marks the beginning of a series of innovations aimed at transforming the political landscape for women candidates, particularly in Georgia. A Year of Change
The 2021-2022 cycle brought a lot of change, from leadership transitions to new district maps and Georgia becoming a battleground state. Throughout the year, we've managed to achieve some milestones that we're proud to share with you.
Empowering Women in Politics
We've played a part in having a woman in every statewide race and have helped increase the percentage of women in the Georgia Statehouse to an all-time high. We didn't stop there; we also expanded our support to down-ballot races, making an impact at the local level.
Supporting Our Candidates
Our commitment to candidate support led us to form a coalition of Democratic organizers focused on recruiting, supporting, and retaining strong candidates. One special feature in our report is the "Innovation in Candidate Support: Addressing Mental Health and Well-being." We know mental health matters, so we introduced wellness programming to provide emotional support and well-being resources for our candidates.
